FAQS

What is the difference between UKU Local and UKU Wi-Fi?
The only difference between UKU Local and UKU Wi-Fi Controllers is that the UKU Wi-Fi enables you to heat your sauna both with the local wall control panel as well as from your phone using the HUUM mobile app.  For the UKU Wi-Fi you will need a Wi-Fi connection.  With the UKU Local you can only heat your sauna “locally” using the wall control panel. 

What controllers can be used with HUUM heaters? 
HUUM heaters are able to work with different manufacturers controllers so long as they are certified and have a temperature control function. The output of the heater must match the output range determined by the manufacturer of your chosen controller.  

Can my HUUM heater be used without a controller?
No. Temperature control is required for HUUM heaters.  There is no on/off switch for the heaters without a controller.

Where should the controller be installed? 
The control panel must be located at the user’s eye level, adjacent to the door, or in accordance with the manufacturers directions outside of the sauna room. The main  module should be placed in a dry and accessible location.  The main module should not be installed in the sauna room.  It is entirely at your own risk if you do so.  

It is critical to ensure that the main module of the UKU Wi-Fi controller can establish internet connection at the chosen location before installing it.
