VersaClimber Customer Review

Great Machine and Service

I found the VersaClimber on Ideal Home Gym's site, and after some research and some conversations with Tommy (the owner), I took the plunge. It's a significant investment for me, and I didn't jump in lightly.

Before and right after purchasing, Ideal Home Gym communicated the projected timeline of 4-6 weeks for the buildout. A couple of weeks in, I was contacted and told things were on track and to expect another communication when the machine was complete. I got that next email four weeks almost to the day of my order.

It came in perfect condition in a long, sturdy, wooden crate. If you want a machine that'll challenge but won't hurt you, then this is a great choice. And Ideal Home Gym is a fantastic partner to work with in getting your machine too. I've no complaints, and I look forward to my next workout.

CONTRA-LATERAL MOVEMENT

Contra-Lateral Movement

VersaClimbers that come with Contra-Lateral Movement Pattern are as follows:

- H, HP, SM, SMA, TS, TSA and SRM.
- All others models can be added with this option as an upgrade feature.

What is it?

VersaClimber originally patented this special movement pattern called Contra-Lateral or Cross – Crawl on the VersaClimber. What is Contra-Lateral Movement Pattern? This pattern replicates our natural primitive movement, which is intuitive for humans as we crawl, walk or run. It is otherwise known as our natural GAIT pattern. Contra-Lateral Movement Pattern provides a unique alternative to the “standard” climbing motion VersaClimber provides. The Contra-Lateral Movement motion is produced when the arm and leg approach each other on one side of body while the opposite arm and leg separate on the other side. It has been demonstrated this natural pattern will mor safely and effectively strengthen the para-spinal musculature.

VersaClimber “Contra-Lateral Movement Pattern” replicates crawling. Crawling is a developmental movement pattern that ties everything about you together. Through this movement pattern, cross crawl neural connections and pathways are established in the brain that allow the brain to become more efficient at communication between left and right hemispheres.

Contra PAttern

The better the brain can communicate and process the information the better the body moves. Contra-Lateral Movement Pattern also unites your sensory systems. It integrates your balance system, your proprioceptive system, and your visual system. Contra-Lateral Movement Pattern can improve “hand – eye” coordination.

Contra-Lateral Movement Pattern is also known as contra-lateral or alternate reciprocal pattern that is similar to our walking or running pattern where the opposite side arm and leg move together. Thus, the contralateral pattern is our similar to our GAIT pattern and is patterning the nervous system based on human design or movement.

As babies we learn to crawl, crawling is a developmental movement pattern that ties us together neurologically. Humans are hardwired to crawl and crawling allows the brain to become more efficient at communicating between the brains right and left hemispheres.

If you are an athlete who runs, Contra-Lateral Movement Pattern would allow you to not compromise the biomechanical integrity of your running movement pattern. (Just think of all sports that the athlete runs).

Contra-Lateral Movement Pattern really helps the nervous system to fully integrate with all the systems in the body.

VersaClimbers that come standard with Contra-Lateral Movement Pattern are as follows:
H, HP, SM and SMA. All others models can be added with this option as an upgrade feature.
Please contact us for details.

Standard Climb pattern, the Elbow and Knee stay equal distance apart in either direction.

Great Machine and Service

Getting older sucks.

I went from weight training 4-5 days a week in my twenties and thirties, to calisthenics and yoga in my early forties, to walking in my late forties due to joint problems and injuries.

Walking wasn't enough for me, so I spent some time searching for something that'd kick my butt but allow me to avoid harming myself permanently. I needed something low/no impact and intense. With that in mind, I went looking.

I found the VersaClimber on Ideal Home Gym's site, and I read through the reviews and use cases. It's used by physical therapists to rehab shoulder and hip issues (both problem areas for me), and at the same time, it's incorporated into CrossFit routines because it's such a challenging machine.

So, after some research and some conversations with Tommy, I took the plunge.

The machine was shipped, and I eagerly tracked it until it arrived a few days later. It came in perfect condition in a long, sturdy, wooden crate. I dissembled the crate and took the machine, piece by piece into my garage. Then I had my buddy help me put it together (you absolutely need two people for certain stages of this!).

My first session on the machine was laughable. I could only go for five minutes. This is after being conditioned by a CrossFit style (minus some of the higher impact stuff) workout that's fifty minutes long. So it's not like I've never exercised before. It's just this thing kicked my butt in the best possible way.

I've worked up to fourteen minutes now. Today I'll try to get fifteen. It's a brutally effective, safe workout. I have the floor stand model, and though I had some initial concerns with stability, those were completely laid to rest upon using it. I love the tiny footprint (about 4'x4') and the Bluetooth capability.

If you want a machine that'll challenge but won't hurt you, then this is a great choice. And Ideal Home Gym is a fantastic partner to work with in getting your machine too. I've no complaints, and I look forward to my next workout.

So, while getting older does suck, I don't have to surrender being in the best condition possible. And this machine will help.
